Media Strategist

Responsibilities

  • Develop holistic media strategies that align with client objectives, target audience insights, and market trends
  • Provide a roadmap for impactful media execution
  • Implement rigorous testing methodologies to evaluate channel performance against key metrics
  • Iterate and optimise creative elements to maximise effectiveness and ROI
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on marketing direction and execution and collaborating closely to ensure alignment with brand and business objectives
  • Utilise data and analytics tools, preferably Kantar TGI, to uncover actionable insights from audience behaviour, campaign performance, and industry trends, informing media strategy and iteration
  • Lead and seamlessly integrate strategies for cross-functional teams, including creative, media, and account management
  • Develop comprehensive channel briefs and presentations for client review
  • Monitor and analyse media performance metrics and KPIs
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the industry
  • Provide ongoing feedback and guidance to specialist teams for continuous improvement
  • Present media strategies and campaign results to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the agency

Skills Required

  • You have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in either integrated or digital media planning or strategy role
  • You develop innovative and impactful media strategies that break through the noise and drive results
  • You’re proficient in data analysis and interpretation, and have a keen ability to derive actionable insights that inform strategic media decisions and optimisations
  • You have strong strategic planning skills that allow you to seamlessly align media initiatives with broader business objectives and market opportunities
  • You have exceptional client management skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service and value
  • You have in-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels and best practices, with a proven track record of leveraging digital capabilities to enhance effectiveness
  • You thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, working closely with creative, media, and account teams to achieve shared goals
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills which help you articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both internal and external stakeholders
  • You think creatively and develop innovative solutions to creative challenges, constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible
